Joe Bormann Hired to Lead the University of Dubuque’s Bold Investment in Innovation with the Chlapaty Center for Innovation

Throughout his career, Joe Bormann, MA, has been driven by the simple belief that students learn best by doing. He has brought that mindset to the University of Dubuque as the inaugural director of the Chlapaty Center for Innovation. Scheduled to open fall 2027, the Chlapaty Center for Innovation is an 87,000-square-foot, five-story building designed for students from all academic disciplines to work alongside faculty, entrepreneurs, alumni, and industry partners to solve real-world problems.
