Lumina Foundation-Gallup: Valued but Out of Reach The Reality of Higher Education Today
Each year, Lumina and Gallup measure U.S. adults’ attitudes toward education and training beyond high school, their interest in pursuing a degree or credential, the barriers they face to enrolling or completing a program, and the currently enrolled student experience. The 2026 State of Higher Education study includes responses from just over 14,000 U.S. adults aged 18 to 59 who do not have a college degree and fall into one of three groups. Read more.
